Anvil FIG 120 & 137 U-Bolts

The main purpose for using U-bolts is to provide support for pipes. Basically, U-bolts can serve in two main supporting roles in pipe support applications as anchors or guides. Using Anvil FIG 120 & 137 U-bolts in an anchor application for plumbing & construction, provides the main benefits of stopping pipe movement. Additional benefits include securing pipes from outside weather sources, reduce thermal movement that could cause pipes to shift, and also minimizes vibrations that could lead to abrasions or ruptures. When used in a guide application the U-bolts should be secure, but there should be spacing between the U-bolt and surface after tightening. For best results leave a space at the top and bottom the pipe or beam when installing as a guide.

An Extensive Inventory of U-Bolts

As a Anvil FIG 120 U-bolts & Anvil FIG 137 U-bolts distributor, Brazos Fasteners sources an impressive lineup of pipe supports and hardware. Made from carbon, alloy, and stainless steel 316, our U-bolts deliver superior quality, long-lasting, and reliable performance. Finishes include hot-dipped galvanized, zinc-plated, and neoprene-coated versions. Each finish provides unique benefits:

  • Hot-dipped galvanized: HDG coatings improve corrosion resistance and durability while minimizing your total cost.
  • Zinc-plated: As another cost-effective option, zinc plating adds corrosion and rust- resistance to each U-bolt.
  • Neoprene-coated (Pro-Coat): Neoprene provides insulation for the bolt while boosting its corrosion and chemical resistance, also aids in securing and minimizing vibration.

Our U-bolt inventory includes both standard (Anvil FIG 120 U-bolts) typically range in pipe size from 1/2″ thru 10” or long tangent (Anvil FIG 137 U-bolts) range in pipe size from 1/2” thru 36”. We can also quote special U-bolt requests if a drawing is provided with the necessary measurement and specifications.

For industrial or mechanical applications that expose the pipes to moist or wet environments, such as pump and valve component, we also offer a Delrin pad that helps to prevent galvanic corrosion to pipes in these applications, moreover, in combination with neoprene (Pro-coat) U-bolts will add additional anti vibration and corrosive prevention. The Delrin pads can be formed into many shapes and sizes, but the half round shaped Delrin is the most common.

Frequently Asked Questions

The primary difference lies in the length of the legs, tailored to different pipe sizes and installation depths. Anvil FIG 120 U-bolts are standard tangent and typically support pipe sizes ranging from 1/2″ through 10”. Anvil FIG 137 U-bolts feature a long tangent, allowing extra clearance or insulation space, and accommodate a much wider range from 1/2” all the way up to 36”. Both styles are available in high-quality carbon steel, alloy steel, and 316 stainless steel to fit your plumbing, construction, or petrochemical pipeline infrastructure.

Yes. For high-moisture industrial or mechanical settings (such as pump and valve setups), we supply neoprene-coated (Pro-Coat) U-bolts which provide comprehensive chemical resistance and vibration dampening. To further combat galvanic corrosion caused by dissimilar metal contact, we also supply custom-formed Delrin pads. Combining our Pro-Coat U-bolts with Delrin pads offers maximum anti-vibration and anti-corrosion protection for your piping systems.

Absolutely. If our standard FIG 120 and 137 configurations do not match your project requirements, we can quote and supply custom U-bolts—simply provide our engineering team with a drawing specifying your exact measurements and material requirements. Because we specialize in supporting Gulf Coast operations where downtime is costly, we offer 24/7 Call Out Service and expedited shipping to fulfill urgent breakdown needs or tight turnaround timelines without delay.

We carry stainless steel and zinc plated square bend bolts, but we can accommodate requests for other options. Our team requires drawings or dimensions for these bolts. Please submit all the required information with your RFQ.
