Stainless Steel, Teflon Blue, & Silicone Bronze Hex Machine Screw Nuts

Hex machine screw nuts fit small-diameter machine screws and bolts (1/4″ or smaller). They are usually thinner than standard hex nuts. Hex screw nuts have chamfered corners and flat tops with Unified Standard, Class 2B threads.

Small-pattern hex machine screw nuts have thinner widths across the corners and flats; they work well in spaces with limited room for wrenching.

Applications for Hex Machine Screw Nuts

A machine screw nut can secure a screw attaching pieces or components of machinery, such as when fastening metal panels. It can also hold a machine screw in a hole that isn’t tapped.

Hex machine screw nuts provide a tight connection and uniform pressure distribution across the meeting surfaces when fastened correctly. These properties help them withstand heavy loads and prevent loosening.

Industries that use machine screw nuts include:

Machine screw nuts are also valuable for the furniture industry.
